Frequently Asked Questions
Is booking a cruise from this site more expensive than booking on my own?
With our exclusive consortium agreements, you are getting the exact same cost as booking direct, but with extras thrown in, like special promotions, shipboard credits, or prepaid gratuities! Plus, you get the dedicated advocacy and care of a travel advisor in your corner. If a flight gets delayed or a situation arises where something doesn't go exactly the way it should, you aren't stuck dealing with a computer. I am right here supporting you and managing the logistics. You are truly getting much more value for your travel dollar when you book with us.
I've never done a cruise before, why should I try it?
Cruising has come such a long way over the last twenty years! I really believe there is a cruise out there for every type of traveller, it just depends on how you like to explore the world. For our families, it is absolute paradise. It is incredibly easy to enjoy each other's company while still giving everyone the space and time to do their own thing. And if you hate the idea of packing and unpacking your bags every time you visit a new place? River cruises are pure magic. They are basically boutique, 5-star hotels that float you right into a new destination every single morning.
How does a river, ocean or expedition cruise differ?
It all comes down to the style of adventure you want! River cruises place a huge focus on the destination and take you to unique places off the beaten path. You will visit charming European villages known for an obscure wine or a specific role in history (the kind of hidden gems you'd likely miss on a traditional tour with hotel stays). Ocean cruises are just as much about the spectacular ships as the ports. Modern oceanliners offer something for everyone, whether you want high-energy fun, pure opulence, or a bit of both. Then you have expedition cruises, which are custom-built for fellow globe-trotters who want to chart completely new parts of the world, like Antarctica, for true once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
What does the booking process look like?
I make it completely effortless for you! On every sailing and promotion page, we've given you three quick ways to get in touch. You can fill out a simple inquiry form to work with us via email, use the live chat to speak with us during business hours, or book a phone call directly. Just let us know which promotions or destinations are singing your name! If you aren't entirely sure yet, you can also use our "request a search" feature, and a travel agent will hunt down the active promotions based on your personal requirements. I will guide you through the entire booking from that initial inquiry to your completed reservation, so you don't have to figure out a thing.
What if I want to book the cruise myself?
You absolutely can! I always want you to use our site as a fantastic resource for your travel ideas. However, please keep in mind that the promotions displayed here are based on special travel agency agreements through our consortium. You might not grab the exact same deal if you go it alone, but at least you have some great inspiration to work with. And remember, if you ever find a deal you love online and book it yourself, you can call me. I can often take over the booking to ensure you get the absolute best price and all the extra goodies!
What if I want to do something else other than a cruise?
Then I am still your girl! Paull Travel is a full-service travel agency, and we love booking nearly everything else you could possibly need or want for your holiday. Just let us know you have other travel questions or specific requirements when you fill out your inquiry form or search request, and we will get right to work.
I saw a promotional price advertised on your site, but when I went to book, the price changed. Why does this happen?
I know how frustrating that can be! The honest truth is that travel pricing is incredibly dynamic. We always display the lowest "starting at" rates provided to us by our consortium, but our cruise partners control their own live inventory and often limit those special promotional rates to a small number of cabins. If multiple travellers are trying to book the exact same deal simultaneously, or if the supplier's limited promotional block sells out, the system automatically pulls the next available price tier. We aim to constantly update the site, but the final rate is always subject to what is live in the supplier's system at the exact moment we book.
What does "subject to supplier fine print" mean for my booking?
Think of it as the official house rules set by the company operating your cruise! As your travel agency, my goal is always to connect my travel community with cruise partners that have standing agreements with our consortium, but the final rules are always set by the operators themselves. Their fine print dictates the hard logistics of your booking, including holiday or peak-season blackout dates, strict cancellation and refund policies, minimum stay requirements, and how they handle sudden changes to flight schedules or cabin categories. I will always walk you through these details transparently before we finalize anything!
